Since the W180 and G180 were developed by Slagkraft, the work for a smaller and more flexible power package has been initiated. The work has resulted in the power package W70, which replaces the predecessor W10 and comes with many positive features.
Diesel engine
In the engine package, we find the powerful 55kW V-engine that is powered completely without DEF fluid.
The diesel engine has an output of 75HP which gives a good segmentation between the W70 and the much larger engine package W180.
The development has been prompted in consultation with our customers working with professional road clearing. There has been a demand for a smaller and more flexible power package without compromising on power. We
have managed to reduce the engine package’s dry weight to 1400kg, and significantly reduced the dimensions regarding both height and depth, which leads to a better visibility for the driver and a better stability for the base machine, says Anders Strömgren, CEO of Slagkraft.
The control system
The development of the control system a color touch screen with both new and improved functions, among other things you can adjust working speed, crane speed and use the overdrive mode which gives the driver the opportunity to quickly switch between two speed modes when needed.
Large workspace and improved visibility
The W70 fits best with Slagkraft’s crane SC7, which offers a double turning system and thus gives the opportunity to work on both sides of the carrier, which constitutes a large work surface.
A W70 power package equipped with an SC7 crane and SH170 stroke achieves a range of 7.5m.
The economical size of the power package together with the high crane pillar on the SC7 crane provides significantly improved visibility for the driver.
Service and maintenance
The diesel engine’s service points are located on the front and are equipped with quick couplings for filling hydraulic oil and emptying the hydraulic tank. It is easy to change filters and an indication shows when it is time to change filters.
Official premiere
At the Swedish machine fair 2-4 June, the power package had its official premiere on the Swedish market.
The response from our customers has been very positive regarding our W70 engine package with associated SC7 crane. This due to the development
process, where an important part of the development of our products circles around our close relationship to the customers, where their feedback and response leads us right, says Magnus Hedman, salesman at Slagkraft.
